  • A brilliant experience

We did the haunted house room last night and it was fantastic! The way it was put together and the pointers were so clever! Really really enjoyed it and the location was perfect for a hunted house at 8pm in October. It was scary but not so much so that it meant you couldn't concentrate on the tasks - the jumps came at the right time Really friendly staff who seemed to enjoy what they do

  • Fun afternoon!

This was my first escape room experience, did the sawtopsy room with my daughters (20, 18 and 12). While I spent the hour being absolutely useless and questioning my intelligence, the girls were running around me finding the clues . Didn't manage to escape, but will definitely go back again for a second attempt . Staff were friendly, were very prompt when we buzzed them for advice.

  • Made you jump !!

Had a great time doing the haunted house movie escape, all participants enjoyed taking part. Something to do with teenagers and adults over the half term holidays. Well set up and covid friendly even has a wash hamds station !!

4 adults, 1 teenager and an 8 year old went to Santa's Cabin. Really enjoyed it. Lots of clues and lots of sweets to find! Definitely needed the adults/teenager (and the odd hint) to solve the puzzles but plenty for the 8 year old to be involved in too.

Had a great time here last weekend 19th Jan for our son's 10th birthday. Only the four of us (me , wife, and two sons afed 6 and 10). First Escape Room as a family. Picked this room as it appeared to be one of the only ‘family’ escape rooms I could find that allowed under 12s. Setting was great with some good props and LOADS of locks to crack - both key and combo. And a few rooms to explore. Some neat puzzles and not too difficult overall (although I admit we got stumped at the very first verbal clue and had to ask for help after wasting 10 minutes over thinking it - but then got into it!). Our female host was very friendly and set the scene well and was on hand whenever we needed guidance the other two or three times throughout the game. Technically I think we overran the hour glass timer by about 5 mins, but the kids were that into it and were so near the end, I think our host let us see it through to the end - very grateful! Will go back when the next family room is ready!

  • 'Immersive and Eerie! Haunted House II: Demon's Curse'

Today we visited MoviESCAPE and it's clear to see the venue is run by movie fans who want to bring the magic of the movies into an escape room venue. With theatre style detailed sets the brand new Haunted House II: Demon's Curse maze was intriguing and immersive with a great use of special effects and some thought-provoking puzzles. Whilst it wasn't particularly scary (hence being targeted at ages 12+) the maze provided that immersion into the story and special effects certainly added towards that atmosphere. Almost like a Disney / indie horror crossover at times it was great fun to be inside the room and whilst we didn't escape in the time allotted there was only two of us attempting the room. One puzzle did throw us completely off but the rather cool way of getting a hint and the way in which the hint was delivered was almost pushing me to ask for help on every puzzle as the audio replies gelled with the room so effortlessly. Detailed, immersive and great fun! Would definitely revisit again as the Merlin and Sherlock rooms both look absolutely stunning, i'm a big sucker for theming and other than the more simplistic Meth Lab escape room the other rooms were spot on in detail and immersion.
